Are you seeking to help a team reconnect to mission & purpose?
"Many organizations have statements of mission and values. Unfortunately, most of them sound alike." (Rosabeth Moss Kanter, Harvard Business School)
We used academic research to find a few possible solutions for your company.
Conduct open-ended ‘shared discussions’ on your team.
Research shows culture to be a group phenomenon — not existing within a single person, nor the average of individual characteristics. Shared behaviors, values, and assumptions define culture and it is most commonly experienced through the norms and expectations of a group.

Engage in many short, shared positive experiences together.
Researchers found that individuals who shared an experience with another individual reported that person as being more kind, like-minded — and 40% more collaborative — than individuals with whom there had been no shared experience. The shared experiences can last as little as 30 minutes to have effect.

Seek-out shared activities that reinforce your values.
Teams that conduct activities that reflect or reinforce values were 3X more likely to rate those values as ‘central to how we work’ than teams who did not participate in such shared activities.

It’s not the words that make a difference - it’s the conversation.
Discussions about organizational values are engaging and empowering. Researchers found people can be more readily relied on to do the right thing, and to guide their colleagues to do the same, once they buy into and internalize core principles.
